Scrapping and the gratitude journal

Back again as promised with some scrappy shares :) I had a play with the new "Tranquility" kit in the shop now at Wicked Princesses. I have had all the photos of my Kloe girl printed since just after she passed away last year but wasnt brave enough to scrap them til sunday when I just felt it was time.....I had friends over to scrap and broke my 8 week scrapping drought with these four :) I didnt cry at the time but had a little one later when I was remembering some of her little quirks. She deserves an album of her own and so it shall be...Im determined to scrap each and every one of her photos and document all our memories of her :) I know some of you are probably thinking "Its just a dog!" But Al and I dont have kids so our fur and feathered friends are like our kids and an important part of the Christie house so when we lost her lost a little piece of ourselves too. Anywhoo enough of my waflle.......

It would seem my style has warped again lol This is a regular occurence after a scrappy break for me.....maybe its my getting back into art thats influenced it this time?

No about the gratitude journal......Im a firm believer in things happening for a reason. The reason isnt always obvious at first (or ever sometimes) but there is always one. A few weeks ago my beautiful friend Tam was chatting to me on msn about doing a gratitude journal swap at WP and showed me a link to what they are all about. I was in a tizz and flat out,stressed and made a mental note of the concept but was too flat out to do anything about it at the time.

I was at the local junk shop on thursday and bought 2 x notebooks (I have a stationery fetish lol and had plans to make journal covers to sell at Kaycees) I brought them home sat them on the shelf and forgot about them. I got a text from a friend asking if I wanted some scrappy company at the weekend and we made a date for sunday. Sunday morning im faffing about on the internet and what pops into my head? The gratitude journal :) I googled it again and found this site and the first thing I read was...

I then decided that sunday night I would start saying thanks and keeping my gratitude journal every night full of positive things that I an grateful for. It turned out that my friend loved the idea too and I thoguht it would be helpful to both of us and hey presto I remembered the 2 notebooks I had bought *insert cheesy grin here* So there you have it the reason for the two books was found and my gratitude journal was born :)

So thats that :)

Ive been painting again .....a spot of mixed media fun on a canvas ...now that she is out of my head I can play with some other ideas :)

Im the girl that used to blog all the time? Occassionally scrapped and always waffled on about all sorts....well I still waffle thats never going to change lol

Its been a mighty long time between posts on my little old blog and to be honest I wasnt sure if Id be back at all......last year was shall we say "less than fabulous" in my little world and as a result of heaps of stress,lots of tears and being sicker than Ive ever been in my life my creative mojo and my happy bubble was rather deflated :( But Im not going to bore you all with the gorey details of it all because 2011 is gone and 2012 is a new year with new chances,new ideas and a new outlook :) Well its not all new really some things I had forgotten and have re-newed love for :)

It wasnt all bad in 2011 though 2 of my closest friends had beautiful baby girls, my Dad got a clean bill of health after a scare with his kidneys and I started Kaycee's handmade for all my sewing adventures :) (Find me on facebook-heaps of bags,hair accessories and more)

I once was the sort of person that would draw and paint everyday......my hands where always busy expressing what was in my heart and mind with the help of paint,pastels,pencils and paper. I would lock myself away for days doing my "thing" then I would be totally drained afterwards. I loved every minute of it......my first drawing was when I was about 4 (I know crazy that 1.I remember and 2.I could draw at that age :O ) It was pebbles from the flintstones (hehehe showing my age now)....mum carried around those little yellow sticky note sized pieces of paper in her handbag for years lol I wish I still had them but they where lost in our journey from the UK to Australia when we emigrated...... from then on I was always drawing,making,creating something or another. A relative asked me when I was about 10 what I wanted to be when I grew up and I told him "An artist" he laughed and told me that it "wasnt a real job thats a hobby" (I giggle now when I think of it because my job is art related and yes it is a hobby but a business too *pokes out tongue* The last drawing I did was in 2001 for Al and I's 1st christmas.....we where love-rich but dollars-poor so I decided to do a drawing for him and frame it as a pressie.....then that was it I stopped drawing.....no idea why or how or when it all stopped but it did......Until November last year that is lol

I had the great pleasure of being invited to my gorgeous friend Donna's retreat at her home and me being a slacko non-driver asked if anyone would be interested in having some company for the drive and the fabulous and lovely Gigi (uber talented mixed media artist and owner of Gist-Creative) offered me a lift.I had met this fabulous lady years before at a crop day but hadnt seen her since so it was great to catchup in the car then have the pleasure of sitting beside her all weekend........and it is her I have to thank for reigniting my artistic flame :) I was sitting there shuffling papers and thinking about all my worries when she offered me some of her mixed media paper and the use of her scrummy art supplies and this is what happened..........

The one on the right (Never give up) was my first attempt at some mixed media fun ,her wings followed and "hope" was when I got home :)

These where all in November and my mum was most chuffed to see me using some of my arty style again so she and Dad got me a huge stash of yummy art supplies for christmas and from there came these.......

I christened my new sketchbook with this scribbly doodly figure in late December 2011.......

Ive since done a drawing for Al's birthday too but cant show that til he gets it ....he told me he didnt want me to "buy him a present" so I didnt I made one instead lol

Then came this .........."The light at the end of the tunnel" Im having this outlook for this year.....there can be no light without the dark....I will find my way through the forest and into the happy light again.

A bit of mixed media therapy after I finished my housework on saturday afternoon I have to say I {heart} this painting....and thats not something I normally say about my art but I really enjoyed working on it and I think it showed me a new mindset....

SO thats where Im at .....happily creating through not just scrapping but also sewing for Kaycees and painting for me :) This year WILL be better ......I intend to make it bigger and better and happier.....

Ive started my gratitude journal too....giving daily thanks for all my positives and steering clear of the negatives from now on :)

Its been a while....

between posts and lots has happened including me having a week off from working and the internet but im back revitalised,recharged and scrapping again :) Heres a few of the LO's Ive done lately....

Followers on my little ole blog :D How fandabbydosey :D Im thinking a giveaway will be in order when I hit the 100! It will be something wicked I promise .....so if you arent a follower then clickety click so I can give away something cool when I hit the big 100 :D

I have been scrapping and cardmaking my little heart out......my mojo comes and goes at the moment so when she is cranking Im in princessland blasting some tunes,singing badly and scrapping myself happy :) Yesterday was cold,drizzly and overcast here in Brisbane (well Burpengary at least -mind you it seems to ALWAYS rain here for some reason lol) so I put on my super comfy clothes -daggy trackies and my ancient billabong jumper- a girls gotta be comfy to scrap ;-) and scrapped the afternoon away :D I was late doing last weeks sketch (July snuck up when I wasnt looking :O) but I still wanted to do the sketch anyway so heres my layout ......Ive been doing heaps of vintagey stuff lately and thought something different was in order and hey presto ask and you shall receive it would seem lol.........

Beautiful Miss Morgan is soon to be 6 so Auntie is a wee bit behind on her scrapping of birthdays it would seem lol I couldnt resist adding an MVB owl :D

This layout was totally different in my head lol but once I had done all the misting and painting with the masks and smooshed (yes very technical with the terms today arent I lol) the bubblewrap on I didnt want to cover it with paper so I didnt :D I have to say I love it! But not in a weird swell head kinda way it could just be because its my honey on there hehehe I got to christen my new TCW circle grid mask too wooot I {heart} it!

awww all lovey dovey lol...Al had the Bruno Mars song "Just the way you are" playing when I walked into my surprise 30th birthday and later told me it always makes him think of me when he hears it on the radio .....it made me cry is was so gorgeous from my gorgeous man who 1.hates music after the 90's and 2.doesnt normally say that songs make him think of me :) Made me feel special :)

So anywhoo thats about it for me for today......IM listening to Adele (much to Al's disgust lol) and waiting for the washing machine to finish before I go for my walk .......have a fandabbydosey day peeps :)

I {heart} messages

.....from followers and lovely emails saying hi and asking about how I do things :) Its a massive compliment to me and I always appreciate it :)

I recently had an email from a lovely reader called Kellie Daley asking me about the rolled roses Ive been using on my work alot lately-they are a wee bit addictive hehehe Kellie asked if I could tell her how I make mine more dimensional than other rolled roses so I quickly volunteered to do a quick tutorial to share how I make them so here you go lovely I hope you like it :)

I must add these where not my original idea I was shown how to make them at creative block 2 years ago and have just remembered how much fun they are :D

Heres a quick tutorial on how I made mine.....

Heres a quick list of what you need and how to do it

You will need:

Thick patterned paper or cardstock (I used bo bunny pp's)
scissors
ink
glue (450 is good it dries nice and quick)
sandpaper

The main steps are as follows:

Cut out some squares of patterned paper ( the smaller the square the smaller the rose-Ive done 3 roses to display this ;-))

Cut into the squares a snail shape (like the ones we used to make in kindy or those spirally things we used to hang off the ceiling) Snip off the excess from the square. Dont snip off the little curly tail in the middle we need that later ;-)

Use your fingernail to gently turn over the outer edge so it has a little lip- do this for the whole snail shape.

You can now ink the edges if you like.

Starting at the end fold a small piece to your left as shown in the picture and start rolling it around tightly until you get to the end of the snail. If you get a long bit sticking out of the middle you can snip a little bit off with your scissors.

Keep holding the snail tightly and add a blob of glue to the little curly tail bit and press it to the bottom of the roll. Gently let it loosen slightly to make a rose shape you desire-if you want a tight rose just let it loosen a little bit ,if you want a big loose rose let it loosen more....hope this makes sense :$

Hold the rose with your finger and thumb until it is firm enough to hold, then you can ink,paint or sand the edges.

The final step I do in once it has dried I place the rose on the table and with the palm of my hand I gently press on it to smoosh it down a bit (hehehe im good at the technical terms hey LOL) this makes it more rose-ish I think ;-)

Anywhoo they are a great way to make matching embellies or to use up scraps :D

I just realised I havent shared some of my retreat layouts yet *oopsies* and I have some from before and some since so prepare for a biggish photo fest :D I have long been a mist-o-phobe but have recently fallen in lurve in the hugest way possible with mist.......im now finding myself wishing I had every colour available to that I could mist every LO hehehe I got some of the Maya Road mists into the shop last week and oh my I am SO lovin the charcol....check out how cool it is on this Josh LO.....no shimmer so its almost teenage boy friendly ;-) Very grungey and cool :D

More misting hehe and stamping and inking......my goodness I loved this kit....so much that I ordered the goodies twice so it will be a WP kit next month ;-) with a few extras the one at the retreat didnt have ;-) My gorgeous friend Nic I {heart} her she is always there for me and I truely am lucky to have her as a friend :)

My other gorgeous friend Missus -AKA Tam :D Challenged me at the retreat with "Do a Morgan layout...." my reply was "too easy!" then she finished her challenge with "Do a Morgan layout with NO flowers" I sat rocking back and forth in the corner for a while trying to get my head around the no flowers on a Mo LO then I was up for the challenge....this LO took me twice as long as normal but I like it! Im proud to say too that I didnt put any on when I got home missus ;-) I used the Vicki B kit from the shop at WIcked :D

More Morgan and :O I just noticed no flowers What the!! 2 in a row :O now im going to have to do one covered in flowers to get back to normal hehehe this is the "School days" kit in the shop...only one left girls!

Two of my favourite ladies in the whole wide world.....my mum and my Granny I {heart} this photo so so much.....they where having a good ole giggle and I managed to catch it at the right time :) I used the "Happy go lucky" kit and made the vine and big rose myself :D

It seems that all my photos of my nephew Josh he is doing something with his tongue -I secretly think he might be trying to put me off taking his photo and scrapping them.....it will take more than that to put me off mate! Hehehehe

I think I used the "up and away" kit from the shop for this one.....yummy colours I love it :D

and another one with the "School days" kit :D Its such a versatile kit I love it :)

Sweet and sad.....

Its not often that I scrap about my pets I do take lots of piccies but never seemed to get around to scrapping them...since Kloe died Ive decided to make a conscious effort to though. They are an important part of my life too and deserve to be scrapped along with the rest of the family :)

My sweet Jack -the title describes my boy to a tee :) Since Kloe died he has become my dog follows me everywhere and wont listen to a word Al says lol much to Al's dismay lol Kloe was always the one who ignored him and it drove him nuts lol I based this LO on a blind scrap from the fabulous Karen Grose and I love how it turned out :D I used the budget boy kit from Wicked Princesses and its on sale now for just $12.00 :D

and this one was sad and hard to scrap......I got every single photo I ever took of my girl printed the other week and at first I couldnt even look at them without bursting into tears,then I loved looking at them and remembering when they where taken and the things she did and didnt cry anymore. I was showing my friend Ali (fellow JR owner and very spunky lady) and we where sharing our Jack Russell stories and photos at the retreat and it made me think I was ready to start scrapping some of Kloes photos so I decided on Sunday night to use some for this weeks sketch at Wicked....at first I was ok then the inevitable happened, I sooked like a baby and wanted to pack it up and go to bed I was such a mess but thought "nope she cant be forgotten and I wont allow her to ever be" so through teary eyes,half a box of tissues and a very heavy heart I scrapped this layout about my beloved girl..........

I wanted to journal about her but that was pushing it I think......next time I will :)

I better go before I start sooking again......hug your furry friends tonight and give them an extra one from me :)

Last weekend we had the very 1st Wicked Retreat! Id spent a year planning,stressing and organising everything for the fun filled weekend and it was all worth it because it was the best weekend EVER! All the ladies that attended had a fabulous time and where lovely, Ive made so many new friends and got to catch up with my lovelies it was fandabbydosey :D It was all these lovely ladies that made it such a great success and I thank you all for that *mwah*

Here are a few photos from the weekend, I havent collaged all of the photos in case anyone doesnt want them on show but if you are on my FB friends list you can see more of them :) I have to thank my fabulous husband for playing bus driver -you rock Sir Otto! My gorgeous Ma (aka checkout chick extraordinaire) for helping me all weekend and my sister for helping on saturday and Morgan for being the entertainment during the photos LOL *mwah* im so very lucky to have such a supportive family and husband :) Anywhoo heres a few of the piccies........

Til the very 1st Wicked Princesses retreat :D Ive been a busy bee getting everything organised for the weekend. Ive only been to one retreat before so dont really know if what im doing is right or wrong...how much is enough etc but I figure its a learning curve so I will learn as I go hey :) Princessland is currently swamped with goodies for the shop ......I think last count I had created and packed 25 different kits for the retreat as well as other one off's left over from the last couple of months....so we wont be short of kits thats for sure lol

Im doing some little mini classes throughout the weekend just showing the girls how to do a couple of techniques that are handy for LO's or cards and will save a few $'s ...homemade is always cheaper and im stingey so anything I can make myself I'll give it a go :)

Im really excited to see how it all works out, after a year of planning Im so looking forward to everything,especially seeing the Princesses!!! Mega excited to spend the weekend with friends most Ive never met in real life but talk to everyday ....how cool!! I picked up the WP shirts last week and snapped this one of me modelling mine....note the sunnies are to cover my Louis Vuittons I am currenlty wearing under my eyes lol

Ive been playing with some of the new kits at the retreat too....here's a quick sneak of one of them ;-)

Its been a while.....

.....between posts, but I am still here and still scrapping just been mega busy doing all the organising and planning for the retreat :D Less than 2 weeks *squeal* its going to be fabulous and im so excited to see all my hard work come to fruition and of course to spend a weekend with fabulous princesses :D I cant wait to see my friends again and meet my new ones! Heres some of the scrapping Ive been doing lately :)

"Little miss sunchine" created using the "park days" kit available from Wicked Princesses now :D

I did "Scooter" with it too and played with a TCW template to create the brickwork....LOVE it!So cool for teenager pages and boy stuff :)

Another one with the "park days kit" its bright and funky and suits any age and boys or girls ...gotta love that hey!

No need to adjuse your screen you are seeing correctly its misting lol and im hooked now! Love that TCW flutterby :D

My mums bestie Jenny had her birthday recently and mum asked me to make her a canvas so here it is :D

This was part of my mothers day pressie for my mum :) Im right into doing the canvas stuff but still scrappy if that makes sense? I made the vine myself :D and had a fabbo time collaging,smudging and stamping the background and yes more misting ;-) LOVE it!

Words can mean so much.........

........and can help people in their saddest of times and I thank each and everyone of you who commented with your kind words over the loss of my Kloe girl {{hugs}} I really do appreciate your kindness and understanding *mwah* She is gone but will never be forgotten...its like my brother said "Kloe left her mark wherever she went no-one will forget her" and since she passed away Ive heard so many Kloe stories ..some id forgotten and some I didnt even know about lol her and her shenanigans again lol I will be making myself a mini album about all her stories to remind myself of the funny things she did.......Jack the boy is slowly getting back to his old self or should I say "new" self ...he seems to be alot calmer,less rough and for some odd reason seems to be more my dog than Al's ....Kloe was always my baby and Jack was Al's man-dog into the rough stuff and super boysterous in all ways...now he is my gentle boy that sooks for a hug and a pat and follows me everywhere.I dont know whether its him knowing im missing Kloe so much or both of us missing her....or is it that he is kinda liking being the centre of attention? Who knows but he is thoroughly enjoying me fussing over him lol

So I thankyou for listening,reading and sharing your stories..and for the cyber hugs :)

The week of Kloe's passing was made further sad by the loss of a friend ..I hadnt known her very long but she made an instant impact on me with her amazing voice and heart of gold.I remember telling her the first time I met her it wasnt fair to do karaoke when you can actually sing lol she laughed and winked at me and smiled her fabulous beaming smile.At Michelles funeral her music was played and I thought it was beautiful....she shouldve been famous with a voice like that and looking around at the many who came to pay their respects she was famous and did touch the hearts of so many different people in her 31 years......you will always be remembered Michelle Rest in peace lovely xx

So there you have it April hasnt been the best of months sadly......but as the quote goes with every end there is a new beginning and the week following all this sadness we found out some fabulous friends of ours are expecting a baby this November :D We are thrilled for them and this child is truely a blessing and will have the best mummy and daddy ....I love that my friends are getting their "happily ever afters" Happy times are what makes the sad times that little bit easier to bear.Anywhoo enough of my babbling.......i havent been creating very much lately (well I have but I either forgot to photograph them or cant because they are pressies ;-) ) but I did make cards for our friends birthdays last week so here they are.......

and thats about it for me for now....im currently playing with needle and thread and creating things for the retreat ;-) Its wicked good fun :)

My heart is broken :'(

This morning I found my beloved Kloe girl had passed away through the night :'( I have cried a river and am devastated my girl is gone :(

Most people that know me know that we dont have kids and so our pets are like our kids...Kloe was our first and she was the runt of the litter,my 22nd birthday present from my mum and dad and she had a hernia so the breeders sold her off cheap.....she was one of a kind and the best dog ever...there was never a dull day with Kloe around.....I lost count of how many time she escaped and I walked the streets to find her and bring her home...I used to get so cross at her...not for her getting out but for making me to scared she would be lost or hit by a car.....but one look at that gorgeous face and a wag of her tail..which never stopped wagging ..and my heart melted and she was back in the good books.

She had springs in her feet,always made this funny bark in the morning that sounded more like "hello" than a bark,she could find her way out of the most secure yard,howled and cried anytime we went out,licked my face everytime I bent down to pick up the washing from the basket to hang it on the line ,barked and stuck her nose through the screen to "remind" us it was dinner time and she was the gentlest most kindest ,sweetest dog ever...she would never hurt a fly. Most days she drove us mad with her shenanigans but she was ours and for 8 years we loved her everyday.....we thought we wouldve more time with her.......I wish I had one more day with her :'(

My heart is broken and I miss her so much already :(

Rest in peace my sweet Kloe girl I will never forget you xxxx

Mum loved the bag! She used it as a handbag at the weekend :D She didnt realise the pleated part in the front is a pocket and was most impressed that I cam up with the idea while in the dentists chair lol I totally zoned out and was planning the bag in my head instead of focussing on what was actually happening lol

Wicked Princesses is a kit based site and I would love to see how you work with one of the kits in the store. The successful applicant will each month be required to create 3 kit examples and a step by step with the kit. A mixed bag of creations.....

Ive dusted off my sewing machine again and did some creating :) Ive been making large bags for sale at the retreat like my posting bag :D Im taking orders if anyone would like more info or to order one email me at wickedprincess2010@gmail.com :)

Its tradition for me to always make something handmade for my family when its a birthday or christmas ...sometimes its an otp,a framed LO,a handmade bear or something else I created from my stash :) Monday is my beautiful ma's birthday and she mentioned the other day that she couldnt find a bag to fit her ipad and lunch in for work so what else is a girl to do when her mum is in need but put the thinking cap and designer cape on and came up with this...........no pattern of course lol Although I did think to keep the template I drew up this time lol

Its got a little pocket inside for her phone and the front panel is one big pocket for her purse or something else and lots of room inside for her ipad :) I took a photo of her with the bag and will share it on monday she LOVED the bag :D

I couldnt resist embellishing with MVB's :D Black laceys,large rose and doileys yummmmmmm I think I need to make one for myself next!

Prepare to be shocked......

.......I scrapped :O but thats not the big shock you will see that later in this post ;-)

The fabulously talented Kate McCulloch inspired us all this month with her awesome sketch designs and this is my take on the last sketch of the month :D Love this photo ....it was taken when Granny was over (cant believe that was 3 years ago :O) Im lucky to have such amazing female role models in my life .....my Granny was a child in the war,was abducted as a child :O (and thankfully returned to her family) she has had 5 children,was widowed in her early 40's and has survived 3 heart attacks and a quadruple bypass....she is made of strong stuff my Granny :) My Mum is the most awesome mum ever she has sacrificed so much for our family to have a better life and I can never thank her enough for that....and then there is my fabulous sister who is my best friend and an awesomly fabulous mumma to my peeps Josh and Morgan and she lets me share them with her :) I {{heart}} these special ladies and I only hope that if I ever get to be a mum I can be half the mothers they have been :)

A quick share....

......I havent been doing as much scrapping as Id like to be of late but have a couple of new ones to share anyway :) I have loved playing with the Echo park little boy range that I had in the "my little boy" kit this month and wanted to show everyone its not just for "little boys" the reverse sides are bright and funky and perfect for scrapping big boys like my awesome nephew Josh and my Dad :) I based this LO on another of the fabulous Kate McCullochs sketches I {heart} them!

This LO is one I did at one of the scrappy days at my lovely friend Nic's house :) I used the Vintage daydream kit and used it for a blind scrap with the lovely princesses this week at Wicked Princesses :) I think the girls all had fun :)

Hows your weekend been?

Ours was good :) We went to a friends housewarming where they announced their engagement yay!!I got to hold a brand new baby girl she was so snuggly and beautiful *sigh* babies are such a precious thing, it was lovely to have a hold for a little while :)

Our attempts will now be put on hold until after my dental surgery *sigh* general anaesthetic is required so not a good time to be trying I think......so we will have a couple of months off, I cant say im happy about it but im sure it wont do me any harm to try not to think about it for a while.Easier said than done but we will see........

So now im thinking of all the things I CAN look forward to .......birthdays,visiting my peeps (i miss my littlest loves and need some huggles big time) and of course my retreat! It will be my 2nd retreat Ive ever attended and the 1st Ive ever run so heres hoping I do it right lol I have lots of lovely ladies coming along so im sure they will steer me in the right direction if Im looking a little lost :) My lovely friend is having a baby this year too so Im looking forward to the baby shower for the little princess and getting to meet her ....and shopping for little things for her of course ;-)

.....layouts created by me so far this year :O I need to pick up the pace!I did more than that in a weekend last year :O So terribly slack of me :( I have some others I havent shared yet because either they haven been photographed or they are for comission work ;-)

Anywhoo heres what Ive been creating lately ....

SUYS challenge was to scrap something you cant live without so I scrapped my honey :) and used the fabulous "My love" kit available in the shop now :D It so so nice!! I {heart} it :)

a bit about why Id be lost without him....

This month my fabulous friend and talented Princess DT member Kate the great designed all the sketches and both my LO's are created using them :D Clever pickle!Totally inspired me :D *mwah*

This LO was created using the "My little boy" kit which has sold out now :( It was a fandabbydosey kit and I LOVED creating with it ...in fact I even did a big boy LO but cant share it yet ;-)

This is based on this weeks sketch and the photo is of my cutie pie nehpew when he was a bubba .....awww cant believe he is 11 now!Where does the time go?

I always called him my spunky chops hehehe

I {heart } fussy cutting *sigh* and twine :D

Hi everybody :) Long time between post again *blush* so slack of me ...but I have been doing a little bit of scrapping (not as much as I like but a enough to keep me sane lol) so here is some of what Ive been working on.....
My gorgeous friend Jules asked me to create some class LO's for her using the MLS harmony range and I wasnt about to say no to that offer so I created the following 6 LO's :)

My mojo has been a wee bit awol of late so I thought maybe a change might help so I did them in a different size to my norm and LOVED it!

I cant remember if I shared the canvas pic....if I did ignore it if I didnt enjoy checking it out lol

Ive got a heap of family photos to share soon too after my surprise 30th birthday party :) I had a fabulous time and cant wait to scrap the photos :)

LO #1 ......So in love.......

......with Echo park......lol and with my hubby :) I so so so LOVE these colours *swoon* gee I wonder why lol :D This is my example for this months 1st challenge at the Show us your stuff blog challenge :) The challenge is to do a love themed LO and make some handmade hearts :) I made mine from patterned paper and whipped up a fabric and felt one :) This is LO #1 for the year....the last one was a canvas and doesnt really count ;-)
I made a giant black MVB rose and used a prima sultan centre to add a bit of blingage ....I do {heart} all things bling lol :)

My journalling.....directly onto the photo *shock horror* yes I was brave lol..........

I used one of the new flowers in the shop too :D A hot pink "Wicked Bella" :D

Cybercrop on now @ Wicked Princesses!

Whos looking for inspiration this weekend? Look no further because the cybercrop is on at Wicked Princesses!!There will be 3 challenges and 5 chances to win a prize so why not come along and join in the fun?
My challenge is in 2 parts.....a sketch and your word for 2011, my word is "POSITIVE" some people may or may not know that for over 4 years we have been trying for a baby and its a heartbreaking journey and I was beginning to get very very sad about it all but have decided that positive things happen to positive people so my word was chosen :) I figure a positive attitude and outlook cant be a bad thing anyway hey :) Anywhoo enough of my jabbering......I decided to do a canvas so I could leave it out on show to remind myself to be positive....well thats the idea anyway :)

I did my journalling hidden so I can remind myself later about why I picked this word

My poor neglected blog :(

Far out shame on me for neglecting my blogging :( Its been a while and ive got lots of creations from last year to share so please bare with me :)

It all looks very very girly I know but I did do a Josh LO but it was accepted for publication by Scrapbooking Memories so I cant show it.....and a double toot lil ole me got a comissioning email last week :D Yippeee so excited!!

Me and my honey all dressed up for our friends Jason and Kirstens wedding in November :) Awww its all lovey dovey :)

I made this canvas for the happy couple and they love it! :D

The colours havent photographed well in this one :$ The story behind the title is that Morgan spotted a critter off in the shadows and asked "Is that a wobalie or a tangarew?" in super cute 3 year old style I couldnt resist doing the title the way she said it :) She's a big girl now of 5 and ready to start prep next week :O She looks absolutely adorable in her uniform :) I used the "Little birdy" kit from the shop and added some pinkiepinkie buttons by my fabulous friend Kate McCulloch and a few MVB critters :)

Sweet bubba girl is currently on an easel in princessland :) I think its one of my favourite baby pages but then again it could just be that I love that photo of poe all chubby and dimples everywhere lol I think it lasted about 2 weeks and she lost it all...cutie pie girl. I used the "Girly girl" kit from the shop for this one and some pinkie pinkie buttons and MVB's :)

This one was created using the "Little birdy" kit too :)

My sister loves this next one and as requested that I re-create it as a canvas for her .....well she dropped a massive hint anyway lol Love Morgans dancing photos :)

and these are this months kits in the shop! Vintage Amelia,Little Birdy and Down on the farm are the kits and they are all gorgeous!!There are still a couple left in the shop so if you like what you see you can head over and shop to your hearts content :D

I so love this photo of my peeps :) $5.00 on a couple of hats and a nice spot at the right time of day meant some fab christmassy shots last year :) I still have to do this years, will have to try and do it soon :)

my challenge criteria is to use the sketch and add at least 3 "decorations" aka embellies :) I used some MVB's,bling and buttons :)

The diet......

Tanya asked in my previous post about the diet im on and ive been taking photos (to scrap of course lol) of my daily routine on the Candida diet its essentially a strict diet im on for the next 8 days (its for 2 weeks im nearly half done woot woot) Im not allowed alot of things no mushrooms,no dairy,no caffiene,no breads,no pasta,no processed meats and no chocolate or sugar (I seriously nearly cried at the last one lol those that know me know I LOVE sweet stuff!) along with a heap of other things the list is as long as my arm lol The naturopath has given me a meal plan,some herb drink (ugh its like a mixture of potpourri,cough medicine and manky water all mixed into a little brown bottle lol) So anywhoo heres the diet
Before breakfast: Zinc drink-looks harmless enough but oh boy did it knock me off my feet for a couple of days ...im not a fan lol The herb drink-note the delicious brown colouration mmmm tasty lol

Breakfast: An omelette made with leek,onion,eschallots and 2 organic eggs ....holey dooley those bad boys are exy!The inner stinge in me argued with myself at the egg department in woolies ......."But Tony said you have to......but they are soooooo dear...I could buy 3 of the cheap cartons for that!" lol I quickly took a deep breath and deposited them in the most expensive basket of groceries Ive ever bought and raced to the checkout lol

Snack: 1 piece of fruit-apple.banana or pear

Before lunch: More delicious herb drink

Lunch: 1 palm of meat (can be organic chicken,grain fed beef,turkey,fish,lamb-I think NOT!lol) Day 1 I went for the organic chook and my 2 palms worth of steamed vegies

Snack: 12 nuts I picked macadamias

Before dinner: More herb drink.....usually holding my nose to drink it at this stage of the day lol

Dinner: Im allowed to have roasts,stews,same as lunch or stirfrys with my "Allowed vegies" This is my super yummy stirfry (The pan is a mini one lol im not eating a massive fry pans worth lol) made with organic beef oh my this stuff is delicious!!

Im also keeping a dream diary....hehehe if anything its worth a giggle ....last nights dream involved me being bitten by 2 small monkeys :O yep im weird lol and I usually have 2 dreams a night so he is going to get double the read lol

So thats my life for the past 6 and coming 8 days :) I feel "better" not sluggish or bleh like I had been so it must be working....my newly aquired double chin from the last few months is gone again :D My clothes are falling off me so im guessing ive lost about 2kgs...thats not the idea of the diet but obviously my body had lots of toxins to dispose of or perhaps its the no carbs and no sugar thing :$ Im having Bowen therapy when I go back for my next visit,so we'll see how that goes too :) It'll all be worth it in the end ...hopefully :) Cross your fingers for me pretty please :)

Pickin daisies

This is my LO I created for the Get Picky inspiration challenge this month :) I based it on one of my sketches and used the "Life is good" kit from the shop :) I added some of my MVB creations to the kit-a butterfly critter,a couple of covered buttons and some cloud buttons :) I was inspired by the stripes in the inspiration photo,the bunting and the yummy colour scheme :)

Anywhoo enough waffling from me here's the LO

Ive bought all of the furniture for my princess studio now :D Once the floor has been levelled we can lay the floating floor and I can start constructing all the flat pack goodies and move all the shop stock in woooooohoooooooo!!So excited!

Today is day one of my new diet set by the naturopath...wish me luck!

All I ever wanted....

I was inspired by Kerrys challenge during the cybercrop this weekend at Wicked Princesses and couldnt resist scrapping one of my favourite photos from Al and I's wedding :) *sigh* I loved my wedding day :) It wasnt fancy or huge it was our closest friends and family coming together to share our special day and it was perfect, theres nothing Id change :)

I used the new vintage kit this month at Wicked Princesses "Lost and found" is a devine kit perfect for scrapping any theme with a hint of vintageness :D I added a 2crafty cherry blossom (because since I ordered them in its been "looking" at me begging me to use one lol) Im really pleased with how its come together :) Okies enough of my waffliing ...

Im loving paint at the moment....can you tell? lol

Today Al and I spent the afternoon shopping for furniture for the "Princess studio" :D OMG it was fun! My bank balance is reeling but hey I need somewhere nice to put all my shop stock hey! Ive gone for all white furniture with clean lines everywhere yummo its going to be so so nice :D Im super excited about downstairs almost being finished .....will have to organise a crop to christen it I think! wowsers two updates in one day lol that never happens lol

Today I scrapped :D yaaaaaaaaay!First time in about 2 weeks :O I had a go at the fabulous "Get Picky" sketch challenge :D

I used heaps of MVB goodies on there :) the clouds,MVB seaside critter pin,doileys,trim and a few flowers :D Its bright and fun and Im really pleased with how it turned out :) Photos where taken by my awesome nephew Josh :D Thanks mate!

A little of what Ive been up to :)

Ive been SUCH a slack blogger :( Probably a slack friend of late too :( Ive been throwing myself into doing heaps for the shop and havent been doing the things I normally do......so my sincerest apologies if I have been slack *slaps for me* I havent even been doing any scrapping :O :( I am getting my scrap on today though :D The house is quiet and im in the mood for some creating :)
This is a LO I did using last weeks sketch at Wicked Princesses :) Josh was told "No sports" when he broke his wrist and I couldnt resist snapping these shots of him playing soccer with his cast on .....as far as he was concerned the "No sports ban" was only for sports requiring his arm lol He even did shotput with the cast on....using his other arm lol that boy is seriously comitted to his sports :D Anywhoo enough of my rambling here is the page...I used last months Dude kit to create it :)

Last weekend Mum and I went to the crafts and quilt show in the city :) Its a tradition for us and we normally dont miss it but life has gotten in the way the last couple so we couldnt miss this one!Off we went on the bus and had a lovely time wandering around the show (and me getting a wee bit of craftshow rage after being bashed a few too many times by rude attendees :( ) but overall it was fab :) always is fab spending the day with my mum :) I found these funky owl fabrics at the show and couldnt wait to turn them into buttons for the shop :D They are so cute hey!I love the baby ones too :) Now Ive got owls,butterflies,flowers,ice-creams,beetles,cogs,robots,strawberrys and a rainbow of spotty buttons in the shop!They are in the MVB bundles packs too :D Im batty about buttons at the moment lol :)

and playing with clay :D *sigh* I LOVE it sooooo much....it reminds me of how much I loved it in highschool, couldnt resist a big slab of clay and am just as hooked now as I was then :) My latest clay creation for the shop it my MVB toadstools :D I cant wait to create something so I can use one..or two ;-)

and designing and packing kits!!I LOVE the process of choosing stock,matching the embellies and making the matching MVB's for kits :) These are this months kits in the shop :D Im playing with "Lost and found" Kate is playing with "Sweet Abbey" and Kerry is playing with "He's a star" They are all fabulous kits and theres something for everyone :) There will be a step by step for each of them on the forum throughout the month :)

Wooooooooooo........ok that was my attempt at a spooky start to my blurb about the spooktacular cybercrop on this weekend at Wicked Princesses :D Its going to be sooooo much fun!!Dont be scared by the theme (or my scary advert LOL) there wont be any need for halloweeny type photos ;-) There will be heaps of inspiration,fun games and great prizes!Id love to see you there!

The mojo has returned at last!

Woohoo finally found my mojo today :D I think it must've been re-discovered once the flood waters had subsided lol I havent bee doing any scrapping of late :O Ive been playing with clay and flowers :D But today I scrapped....and it felt good.......I got to use some of my new creations on them too :)

I turned a coloured paper clip into a hook for my MVB critter to sit on like a worm lol

I had a play with the "Life is good" Kit available in the shop now :D Oh my how I love these colours :) I couldnt resist adding some of my new creations to this one too ;-)

An MVB critter-butterfly I {heart} these little cuties!! they match these papers perfectly too :D

The lazy daisies Ive been making :) These are available in the shop too :) I added a button to the centre of mine :)

She's like sunshine.....

Ive had such a crazy busy week, I released the new kits for October and 2 of them sold out within 36 hours :O Wowsers thats a new record for me :D Im so thrilled with the fantastic customers I have that are such a great support to me and my shop :D

I got to have a quick play with the "Hello Sunshine" kit that sold out :) As soon as I saw the colours I knew I had to do a bright funky page and couldnt wait to use the new buttons on there :D They make a fab flower centre I think :)

Lovin those yummy colours :)

This is a sneak of what I did with the "Beau Vintage" kit :) There are still a couple left in the shop, I love the vintage colours in this kit....they are great for masculine or feminine LO's :)

and here is a sneak of my LO I did with the record sellout (in 9 hours :O !) Dude kit....I think this is my best boy kit yet!Maybe thats why it sold out so fast lol I love everything about it :)

Did anyone make cards for cardmaking day? I spent my rainy saturday at the scrapdesk making cards :) 2 of them I wont be able to show, they are for a request from Scrapbook Creations :D ;-) I love making cards especially when it means Im using some of my scraps from the leftovers from kits :D

Okies im off to have a shower and put on some painting clothes :D The renovations are starting to head towards the "almost finished" stage wooot woooot paint is on the walls the stairs are back in :D Today we are just doing the tidying up of the painted edges.Hopefully this week we can get the floor prepped ready for the new floating floor and have the lights and power points fitted :D I cannot wait to buy all the furniture for my shop down there :D Im going to be organising lots of crops at my house to take full advantage of the space :D yippee cant wait!

Its been sooooo long since my last scrappy post :O Im so slack :( I have at least been doing some scrapping :) Here are some of the things Ive created :)

This weeks sketch @ Wicked :D I pinched these photos from Josh's memory card ...I love them lol

Double lacey *swoon* I LOVE these My Vintage Blossoms :) ooh and a natural twister underneath ;-)

"celebrating us" was my LO inspired by Kates interior challenge last week :) Yummy colours in that bathroom Kate the great!

"one of a kind" is my example for Interior #3 my brother (who proved VERY popular with the princesses hehehe look out Horse you could have a fan club lol!) I love a grungey LO so fun and messy :D I used one of my new MVB buttons too :)

My beautiful friend Jules asked me to design some pages for her classes at home this month and I jumped at the chance :D Check out all those gorgeous colours I {{heart}} them :) Here are a few of the pages I did :)

Heres a quick rundown of the happenings in the Christie house of late....

STILL renovating downstairs

Celebrated Morgans birthday early with her last weekend -she is so super cute that little princess :)

Went and stayed with mum and dad last weekend and the dogs had another (insert rolling eyes here) fight and when Al was trying to break it up he copped a bite to his finger which has since nearly resulted in him having to go to hospital :O It turns out that the bite went to the bone between his knuckles and he had a massive infection in his hand that was starting to spread :O Scary stuff :( The Dr said things like that can end up in loss of limb or even death :O :O:O:O so lucky he went straight away when it started looking dodgy.So poor guy got a tetanus and a penicillin shot to kick start the healing process and he has a dose of antibiotics to get through.Norty dogs :(

Kloe dog has something weird going on of late too she seems to be off her food alot :$ and I discovered yesterday she has a few bumps in her chest ....off to the vets for her , Id hate to think she was in pain and needs medicine for something......im really hoping its nothing nasty :(

Yay its cybercrop night! I {heart} cybercrop time :) I finally finished my example for my challenge.....it wa sone of those LO's you think about and plan in your head and then stress it wont turn out right on the page lol BUT yay it turned out how I imagined it would :D Ive been doing lots of recycling on this LO too and will be sharing my tips and techniques on the forum at Wicked Princesses tonight when I reveal the full LO :) Dont forget if you put the cybercrop advert on your blog or facebook you will go into the draw to win a $5 voucher!!

Ooooops that could be a giveaway for part of the challenge criteria ;-) I used the "Countdown" kit....far out Ive had some fun with this kit!!Its perfect for boys of all ages, Ive scrapped LO's about my 10 year old nephew,a photo of my brother as a teenager AND some of my fabbo hubby!!See it suits all ages :D

I {heart} and MVB poppie on my boyish LO's :D PLus my brother doesnt consider them to be "flowers" so its all good LOL

Have you seen all the goodies?? I had myself a massive shopping trip to a few suppliers and the cartons are arriving all this week lol good job no-one needs to sleep in the spare room because the bed is currently covered in boxes and boxes and boxes of scrapping stuff! Ive got albums,albums,albums and more albums lol They are the fandabbydosey printblocks albums :D Ive also added refills,gel pens,photo pencils,storage for 12 x 12 papers and cardstock and a mountain of alphas :D There should be more goodies coming today too weeeeeeee!!I listed some new My Vintage Blossom double laceys yesterday too ....very very pretty :D

Ok im off to do some more scrapping :)

My mojo has come out of hibernation :D

I scrapped 5 LO's in one day :O But guess what? I cant share any of them :( yet ;-) you might get some sneaky peekys soon...once the sun comes out and I can get some decent photos that is! Its been raining and raining and raining here which although its good for the environment its caused havoc with the renovations downstairs :( The internal stairs are sitting in the back yard under a tarp waiting for the sun to come out so we can stain them before putting them back in.The plaster downstairs is taking longer to dry than it should ...argh delays delays delays :( But its like Al keeps telling me.....it'll be finished soon so be patient lol

Grandads little mate

This is the last LO for Jules classes I designed :D I had heaps of fun putting them all together :) I found these photos of Dad and Josh from last year and when Josh was bub and thought it'd be cool to scrap about these guys :) They are great mates these two I love it :)

The sickness appears to have left the house (fingers crossed and touching wood as I type that) I was better within a few days but poor Al has 2 asthma puffers and antibiotics from his :O The Dr gave a him a big lecture about smoking being the cause of his lungs not recovering as well as they should but he was already one step ahead and hadnt had a smoke for over a week at the time :D He is now up to his 11th day of being smoke free and im so proud of him! No crankiness,no craving one...he is awesome :D I told him he must've been ready because thats what it was like for me when I quit almost 2 years ago :) Im so glad that we have both kicked the habit now :)

Okies better go and bring the washing in and sort out what to cook for dinner :)

........due to the shock of me actually scrapping LOL and updating my blog :O The mojo returned this week with a vengeance :)

"Snugglebug hug" is a LO I did using the "Now and forever" kit this month from Wicked Princesses :) Its full of gorgeous pinks,reds and black and great for scrapping anything/anyone you love :) I think my niece Morgan will like this one its so pink lol

no need for a double take......yep its a double :O The peeps love making pasta with Nan and I managed to snap a few action shots :)

hehehe this is what you get when you say to a 10 year old who is sick of having his photo taken "smile Josh" you get this grin lol love it :)

All these Bo bunny LO's where created with some goodies sent to me by the fabulous Jules *mwah* I think my mojo was in that parcel too :D Hope you like them lovey!

Our house is still undergoing the manland reno's -so far the walls and ceilings are done and plastered next will be trims,paint then the floors......then hopefully the stairs will be ready to put back up....IM soooooooo over running down the back stairs everytime someone comes to the door lol once its all done and Ive got my furniture moved in i'll take a piccie and show you all :) Ive got heaps from along the way too :)

We've been hit by the dreaded manflu too....poor Al is so sick :O Ive never seen him this sick....he has kindly shared it with me *insert rolling eyes here* but im trying to ignore it lol

Ive been so so slack lately my poor little blog has been badly neglected :( Ive been flat out with all the orders from the sale,running the cybercrop as well as living in the middle of a building site LOL Manland takeover is about halfway through....some walls are up, the fireplace has been rendered and hopefully the stairs can go back in in a few days then its onto painting and laying the floating timber floor :D I so cant wait til its all done and I can move all the stock and me into the new studio ......*sigh*............shouldnt be too much longer :) Hopefully i'll find my mojo once I move down there.....I think all the noise and commotion has been putting me off :$

I did make a card today though :) I love how it turned out :) Mum rang last night and requested a "card with cream and gold" for her besties wedding in a few weeks so today I whipped up this card.......Ivory,flowers and just a touch of gold......elegant and pretty I think...do you like it?

Today was my "me day" :) Ive been working my little toosh off all week with making flowers,designing new kits,packing orders and working very long hours so today was my day off :) I did do some posting this morning then it was off to the hairdressers for a trim and eyebrow wax ...far out it was nice to be in the presence of a bunch of women for half an hour :) Ive been in a house with 6 men for the last couple of weeks and I was feeling totally outnumbered and needed some girly time lol

Okies better go and sort out the dinner .....honey mustard chicken,new potatoes and steamed veg YUM

I hear you say.....I found my MOJO wooooooooooofrickinhooooooooooo it went awol for over a week and I was starting to worry she was gone for good :O but nope she came back and I scrapped last night :D This is my example for the sketch challenge at the cybercrop that started tonight at Wicked Princesses :) The gorgeous Miss Mo laughing at her gorgeous brother Josh :D

This weeks sketch @ Wicked is one of those sketches you can do a little or alot :) I like sketches like that :) I scrapped these new piccies of my gorgeous Princess niece Morgan :) I did her hair and I told her " you look so pretty puddin!" she asked if she looked like a girl from toddlers and tiaras LOL (Morgan and Nan watch it on fox8 when she is over at mums lol) I told her she looked nicer :) Au natural is always better than all tha makeup those little girls wear!

My nephew Josh and I always like to have a bit of fun and joke around with each other and his latest way to get a rise out of me is using the word "chillax" lol dont ask me why but it bugs me that word :$ so anywhoo he wrote it on my birthday card lol says it at every given opportunity and laughs so hard when I say " Josh! not that word!!" lol I was scrapping this LO yesterday at Nic's place and wanted to document that while his wrist was in plaster he had to relax and rest his arm and I said to Nic "Josh would say he's chillaxin" so she dared me to use my disliked word as the title lol Josh laughed when I told him :) The things Aunties do lol

I used the "Boys will be Boys" kit available now from wicked (there arent many left if you want one you might have to be quick ;-) )

The kit comes with an A2Z scraplet cogs strip and I trimmed it down to create this :)

I added some other alphas from my stash (only becuase I like mixed alpha titles :) )

This is this weeks sketch and below it is my example :)

OMG look no flowers :O It wasnt til I finished it I thought "hang on theres no flowers!" lol I didnt think it needed anything else so left it flowerless lol Love these piccies of my niece Morgan making wished with those little dandelion flowers :) So cute :)

Ive been a good girl so far this week and have walked 8 km's :D Im loving it :) Cant go anywhere tomorrow, have to wait around for the council to come and fix the mains and keep the dogs quiet while the guys are here......hopefully they can fix it nice and quick and in one day so my drains will stay nice and well behaved ( not stinky :P lol)

Okies im off to make some more flowers for kits :D

.......because I just couldnt resist it! I think its one of those naturally gorgeous moments captured.....Morgan doing what all little girls love to do, picking flowers :) She was so engrossed in what she was doing I couldnt resist snapping away :) I'll show you all the LO tomorrow :)

Ive finally started my attempts at this months masters tasks.....Ive talked myself out of it and into is about 60 million times and finally decided "yes go for it, its fun and you know you love a challenge" lol The OTP is in the putting together phase,Ive decided on what to do for the double (shock horror) and the single shouldnt be too hard to come up with an idea.......famous last words hey lol Are you having a go this year?

Im off to spend the day with the family to celebrate my awesome Dads birthday :D Ive got him a little stack of pressies and made him an oreo cheesecake :) Dad and I are the sweet tooths in the family so I couldnt resist making something special for his birthday ....Im a total daddys girl can ya tell? lol

holy dooley its July :O

first day of the month means a new kit reveal :D This little beauty "Butterfly kisses" was listed this morning and has almost sold out already :O Its so gorgeous I wish there was one spare for me.....

The first of this months sketch challenges are up too :D This is my example using it :)

I spent the weekend with my beloved peeps :) I managed to get a few new piccies to scrap before being attacked by the most horrid stomach bug/food poisoning ever :'( needless to say I will not be eating kfc anytime soon just in case it was that :P omg I wouldnt wish what ive been through on anyone .........anywhoo how cute are these two!?! Miss Morgan was loving being my little model lol and Josh is kinda over Auntie paparazzi so its only sneaky shots before he can say no and block himself from view or action shots of him playing soccer lol yes you are seeing right he has a cast on and is still playing sports lol crazy boy! watch this space for all these piccies being scrapped ;-) if you're wondering why theres pancakes they where delicious and made from scratch by Chef Josh :D

woohoo I love cybercrop time :D nearly as much as I love the 80's! what do you think of when you think of the 80's? The clothes? The music? Or is it everything? The Princesses and I have come up with some fab 80's inspired challenges and games :D Hope you can come and join in the fun!

I had another play with the "Beautiful Sophie" kit :D I am a wee bit in love with those flowers I think lol

Heres a quick close up :)

and a shockingly dodgy photo of the LO :( the light is weird at this time of year and it makes it mighty tough to get a good photo :$ You get the idea though .....such cute little people in Morgans dancing group :D

Ive been creating some new flowers and what better way to have a play than with new colours :D Orange,yellow and green polka dot fabric *drool* far out these colours are bright and fun :) Im especially loving the green :D Im listing them in the shop today if you want to get some to play with :D

We have a disaster happening at the moment.....a stinky,blocked pipe kind of disaster :( The council came out today and checked it and the pipes are blocked with tree roots :( the good news is that its on council land so they will be paying to fix it , the bad news is that the previous owner built our garden shed on top of the mains they will need to dig up to replace argh......just when I got the grass to grow and had the yard looking half decent *sigh* ah well im sure there will be photos of the work to scrap lol

The list for the Wicked Princesses retreat is full :O Im trying to get a few more spots made available ....emphasis on the word "trying" so if youd like to come and arent on the list please let me know so I can see if I can help you out and make it possible for you to come :)

Josh and Morgan asked me to make a bear for their little cousin Siana's christening at the weekend and who was I to say no to the request of one of my creations for the peeps :D I made her a ragdoll bear because they are perfect for sitting on shelves with their little dangly legs :) I still havent got my embroidery machine fixed so I hand embroidered the details on the front of the apron and a message on the back :) Everyone loved it ,and I had fun making it :)

This is the full LO :) My example of this weeks sketch at Wicked Princesses-created using the gorgeous "Fresh Print" kit :) I love the muted colours in this kit ......perfect for a vintage LO.I scrapped my all time fave vintage photo my beloved Grandparents :) I think this is one photo I could scrap over and over again its so gorgeous :)
Woohoo for a public holiday! Ive been working and veging at the same time lol ( I love my job!) Ive listed all the new stuff and added some other gorgeous new stock too :D You'll have to check out the shop to find out more :)

So mega mega excited about all the fabulous names on the retreat list so far!!The spots are filling up fast :O it really is going to be an awesome weekend -Ive already bought a new notebook for all the plans and ideas I have lol yep im one of those people who writes everything down so I can brainstorm otherwise that monkey with the drum in my head gets a clangin and I forget lol All the details are listed on the forum if you'd like to find out more info :)

I went to the gorgeous Nic's house yesterday and scrapped the day away (after a fabbo hello of cuddles from the spunky boys Jakob and Sammy :D ) I played with the "Bots and Cogs kit" again :D Im hooked on these cute little bots!

How cute is this rocket brad! I was so excited when I found robot and rocket brads for the kits :D I dropped it on the LO when I was looking for something and thought "oooh that's be cute flying across the page...." I borrowed a tupperware lid drew some dashes and hey presto a flying rocket :D

Fussy cutting ....as always :D I love those Maya Road cogs too :)

Yesterday I played with the "Bots & Cogs" kit and I have to say far out this is a fun kit!I was really excited about this kit when I designed it and LOVE that I thought to make a matching poppie for the kit :D Anywhoo here it is using a piccie of Josh when he was about 5 or 6 :)

How cute is that robot stamp?!I love it and you can be guaranteed to see it again and again on my boy pages :D I did heaps of 3ding (I should buy shares in foam tape lol) but love how its come together......Hope Josh likes it too :)

Butterfly kisses

I had another play with the "All a fllutter" kit on sale now @ Wicked Princesses and made this LO :) I gave Morgan a butterfly kiss (you know when you blink on someones cheek and your eyelashes tickle?) anywhoo Morgan thought it was hilarious so I thought it'd make a good title to match these butterlfly papers :) Im loving the nice bright colours in these My Little Shoebox papers :)

I added a hand dyed doiley too :D

I {{heart}} these websters alphas!Im a wee bit addicted to that font lol

Im christening my slow cooker today :D Since this morning it has been simmering away and the smells where driving me crazy while I was cleaning the house lol Yummo beef stroganoff for our dinner tonight :D Double yay only one pot to clean lol

I bought my copy of Scrapbooking Memories the other day and YAY my first comissioned layout is in there :D So cant wait to show the peeps :D

Ive got a card,an OTP and a LO all done using My Little Shoebox goodies :) Im on a fussy cutting frenzy at the moment and am loving it :D

A little diarama card...I thought the little ladie poking out made for using "hi!" a good sentiment lol

This is a close up of the "real little fairy" layout...far out its hard to catch the dimension in photos :$Ive never cut out a photo before but I think this one suits these papers perfectly :)

Watch out in the next few days for more about these papers in a Wicked Princesses kit too ;-)

I had so much fun drawing and cutting out those blades of grass :D

I bought this frame from the chuck out bin (it had no glass) at target the other day and thought "ooh I can do something with that!"

I used wire and chipboard to keep it all sturdy and it now is sitting beside the telly in the loungeroom :D

My gorgeous little niece Morgan had a dancing concert on Mothers day and I of course was snapping away the whole time (as I do lol) I love love love these first 2 shots :) How beautiful is she!?! Im totally biased of course lol

She is getting so grown up,cant believe she will be 5 in September :O :) She painted her own finger nails and toe nails while I straightened my hair lol I didnt know she doesnt normally do that til Lyns said "Um she is painting her own" lol clever little love I'll have her doing mine soon she did such a good job lol

Far out its hard to get a good shot with those lights on the stage!I am chuffed to have got some scrappable shots of her on stage though :) I got a mega cute video too :D

Yaaaaaay I scrapped :D Sometimes its hard to find the time to do it now im running the shop so it always makes me feel fab when I manage to create something and like it lol I have listed all the new kits for May now so if you see something you like they are available now :) Ive had a little play with the Perfectly Pink kit.......oh my its pretty!I love the pink,cream and black combo with a dash of cream for good measure yummo :) I scrapped a piccie of my gorgeous hubby Al and I :) Im chuffed with how it turned out :D

Ive been having a little play with a new kit that will be released on Friday at the cybercrop :D

Heres a couple of piccies of what I did with some of it (theres still heaps left in the kit :D) I made an OTP and a LO

Now I need to do a card for my brother before I do anything else :) Kirsty and I are organising some challenges for National Scrapbooking Day next weekend too if you'd like to join us :) I will be doing a couple of tutorials for you all too :) One is a flower (shock horror LOL)

The end of an era.....

Over the last few weeks I thought long and hard about my scrappy commitments and unfortunately since I started Wicked Princesses it has been harder and harder for me to give 100% to the CISters sketchblog so it was with a very sad heart that I made the choice to step down ......the sketchblog was my very 1st scrappy commitment and Ive been a sketchy for over 2 years so this wasnt an easy choice to make.The girls have now decided to close the sketchblog after the end of the month so it really is the end :-(

I need to say a massive thanks to the other sketchie girls that have been fandabbydosey to work with and always did and awesome job with my sketches *mwah*
Thanks Lana,Sara,Ali,Kerry,Hilde and Ilona for all your hard work and inspiration I loved working with you all *mwah*

So from next month onwards my sketches will just be at Wicked Princesses :-)

Almost there creations......

Yesterday I had a little play with the "Almost there" kit from the Wicked Princesses shop and these are what I came up with :) I added a few extra alphas from my stash but everything else is whats in the kit......

OMG I journalled :O lol

These are piccies from when Al and I drove back from Melbourne when we bought the tipper.......it was a loooong drive but we still enjoyed ourselves with lots of chatting and laughing :)

Thats all from me for now......cant show the layouts I did with the photos from last weekend yet ;-) they are going to be on some LO's for the next lot of kits :D i might show a sneaky peek later though ;-)
