Paper flower tutorials :)

Hi everyone :D As I mentioned in one of my previous posts I was working on a couple of tutorials to share with you all :)

I hope you like them!


Layered flower tutorial =)









These are some others I did using the same method :D I mix and matched colours and the orange one is prima mixed with kaiser flowers :)

Miniature paper roses tutorial =)

I used one of those cheapy $2 mini flower punches from a jumk shop for these :)

You will need 3 pink and one green for each rose :)
Cut one petal from flower #1,2 petals from flower #2 and leave #3 whole
Ink the edges and press the centres using a rub on roller (or the bottom of a biro as long as it is rounded it will work :) ) set the flower on a soft surface (I use my thigh LOL) and gently press to make your flowers pop and have some dimension.
Layer flower #1 and flower#2 dont be afraid to squish them together a bit.Add some dimensional magic or a glue dot to the centre of flower #3 and layer them together.
Your flower will now look like this :)
Repeat the inking and balling for the green flower which will become your rose base :)
Finished rose :) I sometimes add a small pearl or glitter to make them even prettier :)
This is a LO I did for a challenge over at Enchanted Scrapbooking and I used both my flower tutorial techniques as embellishments :)

The paper roses where inspired by a tutorial by Teina here I love this technique Ive been using it heaps :)

It was worth a try......

I applied for the Bo Bunny DT call and unfortunatley was unsuccessful :( But it was worth a try hey!I really enjoyed doing the LO,OTP and card so thats the main thing isnt it :) I might submit them and see if I have any luck with that.....fingers crossed hey :)


This is my LO using Abbey Road papers and a piccie of the gorgeous miss Morgan having a little daydream :D Its one of my fave pics :) Like my little birdhouses?I drew them free hand :O I'll be doing more of those I think....they are cute and fun!




This is my OTP :) I had this kaiser box sitting around raw for aaaaaaaaaages and this was a great excuse to decorate it.I used the Bo Bunny popsicle and mango Luau papers to make it purdy :) I love it ....its siting proudly on my shelf with all my fave paints and pens in it :)
My card for my sister and her gorgeous family for their housewarming :D I had this card in my head and shock horror it actually came out how it was in my head IRL :O That hardly ever happens for me!!
Anywhoo Im glad I had a go.....it was worth a try hey :)

We just got back from a weekend with Al's Mum in Nanango and I am flogged (thanks to Kloe needing to be let out to pee at 3:30am :( so not impressed it was freakin freezing!!) so Im off to take some cough medicine, have a shower and chill out :D I'll upload the first flower tutorial tomorrow or tuesday :D

Sketchday :)

This is the first sketch for August at CIS :D I created it using digital elements from Jessica Sprague :D Hope you like it! My example using it is "whats cookin good lookin"a LO using some piccies of Josh making salt dough hearts when he was 5.........far out that was a while ago!He turns 10 in December :O Im trying to work my way through alot of old piccies before getting more printed......well thats the idea anyway lol

Im working on a couple of flower tutorials Ive been creating so stay tuned and I'll upload them tomorrow :D

As you may have noticed Ive been making christmas cards as part of the christmas in July comp over at The Scrapbook Establishment and the winners have been announced today and I was lucky enough to have a pick from the prize cupboard and my reindeer card was picked as the overall favourite by the girls who voted!!Woohoo how cool is that!!SO I have won myslef this fandabbydosey making memories stamp set yipee!!I won 3rd place overall along with another lady and was mega pleased to get that far.....trust me these girls definately know how to make awesome cards!!!

Its moi.......lol bit of a different piccie of me, Im not doing my normal grin but its me none the less :) More vintagey style Im so loving it!!This is my entry for the scrap with a twist challenge happening right now at 123scrapbook :D My roses are made using a tutorial by Zany and I love how they turned out :D This weeks challenge was to create a LO using naked chipboard and use paint on the creation....check and check!

Ok here comes the whinge.....Im sick :( sore throat,runny nose (eeeeeewwww) and I ache from head to toe :( Definately not fun to be me right now :( Hope it goes away soon because we are off to visit AL's Mum at the weekend and I dont want to share it with everyone.

This is my LO that was meant for the last CIS sketch LO in July but I forgot to do the upload before I went away for the weekend oopsies my bad!

a weekend worth of photos :)

Hiya everyone :) I m back from my weekend with the "peeps"aka my gorgeous niece and nephew Morgan and Josh :D I took heaps of piccies and these are just a few of my faves :)

The below piccies are the view from Lyns and Matts driveway of their new house......stunning view isnt it!They have views of Mt.Tamborine glorious hey!
I love this sunrise one.....yep Morgan had me up that early LOL
Josh had his sports carnival on Thursday and he did really well :D 100m sprint 1st place,High jump 3rd place, 200m sprint 2nd place.....I took lots of action shots.I used Lyns digi SLR for these piccies because Im having battery ïssues "with mine argh its driving me crazy...im off on search of some rechargeable CRV3 batteries to make my life easier LOL

Josh rocked at the long jump too but they had already done the comp at school so the jump on the day was for points for their team :) Lyns snapped this fab action shot.
